Lending Club opened in 2007 with one simple mission: create an alternative to banks that provides both borrowers and investors a great rate. The firm was established by Renaud Laplanche, a well respected entrepreneur; backed by a solid staff that is made up of innovators from financial services, technology and consumer products.
