LAAPA's Mandeville Campus is one of three sites of the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts. Founded in the early 90's on the Northshore, LAAPA has introduced the joy of music, dance, and theater to thousands of students in St. Tammany Parish. The primary goal of our instructors is to foster a lifelong love and appreciation for the performing arts through inspirational and progressive lessons. Our greatest reward is seeing our students develop as musicians and dancers during various performances throughout the year.Our students have access to the widest range of performing arts programs under one roof in Mandeville. Whether new to music, dance, acting, or the performing arts, or already experienced, you will feel at home at our school. Our instructors are not only master educators, musicians, and dancers but also approachable, down-to-earth, and friendly. Violin Lessons

The faculty offers personalized instruction, utilizing established Suzuki and traditional methods. Additionally, optional enrichment classes are available to provide extra value. Ben has been a world-class, top notch guitar instructor for my daughter. Hes been on stage performing with her to boost her confidence to the next level. Most importantly, he become her friend thats there to listen in her bad days. She hates missing lessons when schedules conflict. Ben is the best.

My son receives lessons for piano from Benjamin Hurst. He is able to make the lessons interesting through a wide range of music genre for my son. One day he is learning Beethoven and the next day he is learning the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song. My son hasn't left frustrated once about not understanding the piece he is covering. He is always excited to attend his lessons and show Ben how well he has progressed!

Kelly Boudreaux has made such an impact on my young daughter's singing with accuracy regarding pitch, key, and tone, and increased her vocal range significantly in addition to expanding her repertoire. Learning how to tap dance was a long time dream of mine (bucket list). The journey to finding an adult only tap class was long. When I found LAAPA offered an adult class, I became excited. From the moment I started, Bridget made me feel that I could do this. I had previous trauma from a fall, so I was hesitant on doing some the steps. Bridget took her time with, encouraged me, and applauded my successes (as well as the other adults in the class). You can feel the love and passion she has for the world of performing arts and for her students. She values our concerns and listens without judging. She is just a gem to have as a teacher.

Jaycee has been taking voice lessons with Mrs. Katarina for about four months. She was a little shy at first but she is improving with every lesson. Mrs. Katarina makes it fun for Jaycee but also teaches her theory as well.
