Linda and I have been married and have lived in Abilene, Texas since 1982. Linda began in the mortgage business in Abilene in 1985 and I joined her in the business in 1992. Since 1992 we currently have worked for different firms, always opening and maintaining branches for bigger firms that were based outside of Abilene. The mortgage rates we would be required to quote would always be based on covering the overhead costs of maintaining a huge corporation. We believed that Abilene was an exceptional market, but the corporate offices wanted to run their Abilene branch similar to their metroplex offices.
