My name is Lenore De Maria and I am the Director of the Montessori Pre-school program in Islip. I began in early childhood education three years ago with my NYS Licensed Group Family Day Care/ Pre-school, Loving Hands. I then opened a 2nd Loving Hands Group Family Day Care in Babylon. After a short time caring for kids 6 weeks to 6 years old and two after care school age kids in each location, I realized that I had a great responsibility to the kids who where put in my care, not only to nurture, love and create a safe environment but to be confident that they were being stimulated and taught.
