Founder Joyce Daughtrey envisioned a place where parents could leave their children and trust that they were receiving the very best care, a place where their children were nurtured and provided with age appropriate educational activities, and a place where they weren't just children entering the center day-to-day, but instead members of a loving, caring family. As Loving and Learning continued to grow, Joyce and Butch Daughtrey established its West Ashley Center in 1986.
