Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known J-bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. It's similar to their standard Precision Split-Coil except that it's overwound by 10% making it a touch hotter. This gives you added push so you'll hear more of the fundamental sound with less overtones. The special T pickups from Lollar may be the very last pickups you ever put in your Tele.
