About Us
read moreMartin Music Guitar was founded in 1997 by Eric Martin. Eric worked in another local music store at the time, and also worked in the recording industry, before deciding to open his own guitar store to work in full time. Since 1997, Martin Music has grown into an international name, shipping guitars all across the world. We've shipped several thousand guitars via UPS! We know how to pack your precious cargo properly, and everything we ship is fully insured. But, we don't neglect those at home, either.
Service & Repair
read moreHere at Martin Music, we offer a wide variety of guitar and amplifier services and repair options, from things as little as re-stringing to things as important to re-wiring. Need some new pickups installed? No problem. Need a master setup? We gotcha. That nasty ninth fret buzz? Totally easy! We're sure we can make your guitar exactly how you want us to make it, all you have to do is call and ask. All guitar services and repairs are done in-store by our good friend and amazing luthier, Robert Scoby.
Bass Guitars
read moreRoger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known J-bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. All features of this modern bass sound can also be found in the 21-Fret Vintage J/J basses of the MetroExpress series.
New Arrivals
read moreThe SE Hollowbody II combines the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar with the captivating resonance of a hollowbody instrument. The 58/15 "S" pickups deliver clarity and balance that sound big and musical in the hollowbody platform. Both hollowbody and solidbody players will feel at home with the SE Hollowbody II. Who doesn't love its big, bold, sweeping shape? While giving the nod back to another era, the Suhr Classic JM starts with a sleeker, more refined body shape and adds enhancements to playability previously unattainable to the guitarist interested in a truly vibe-y guitar.
Amplifiers
read moreWe knew we wanted a low-wattage amp. The challenge was getting a lot of tone and features in a little box. We're all blown away with how it turned out. It's going to be great for someone to take it out of the box, set everything to noon, and have it sound great. The MT 15 is a commanding two channel amp with balanced aggression and articulation. Now upgraded with JJs 5881 power tubes, the MT 15 punches above its weight class with a large, bold sound, so you can dig in heavy with rhythms but also get singing lead tones out of one amp.
Music Lessons
read moreWe offer in-store music lessons at $25 per half hour. That's not a bad price for helping all of your dreams come true! Check out the Instructors tab above for information about our very skilled and dedicated instructors.
Pickups
read moreThe Lollar Overwound Precision Bass Split-Coil Pickup gives you a deeper, fatter low end and an overall bigger, smoother sound. It's similar to their standard Precision Split-Coil except that it's overwound by 10% making it a touch hotter. This gives you added push so you'll hear more of the fundamental sound with less overtones. The special T pickups from Lollar may be the very last pickups you ever put in your Tele. Known for how well it can push an amp into overdrive and how fat it sounds with clean tones, the special T definetly lives up to its name.
Sell Your Gear
read moreWe've all had to thin out the herd at one time or another; it's hard out here for a musician. But, more often than not, personal ads and word-of-mouth alone aren't enough to catch people's attention. Martin Music offers a consignment option for those who are looking for an approrpriate and effective forum to advertize their gear for sale. We normally take consignments of acoustic and electric guitars and basses, amplifiers, cabinents, pedals, and accessories. If your item does not fall into any of those categories, call us -- we still might be able to work with you.
