In 1960 my father, Don McCall, left his position with the City of Fresno-Parks Department and entered into business with his parents. Having an interest in growing plants he decided to lease four acres of land just S of the nursery. Las Palmas Nursery was set up to provide local landscape contractors and to grow material for our own needs.
