Training Courses in Grand Prairie, TX
I'm in the windy city of Chicago where the 2010 ASTD conference is wrapping up today. I have been to two previous conferences- in 2000 and 1995. There's a lot to like at how well organized this conference was. Some interesting items for me were: 1) Hearing Daniel Pink, author of A Whole New Mind and Drive talk. He discussed the motivational experiments of the 1960s and described how money (reward) is only a motivator for low cognitive tasks. Anything that remotely requires thinking and processing reward makes no difference, and can even hurt performance.
