Mental Health Consumer Cncrns

Set up in 1976 by a group of former mental health customers, Mental Health Consumer Concerns (MHCC) is a model of customer empowerment and advocacy. In 1981, MHCC was the 1st customer group to be awarded a Patients? Rights Advocacy contract in the state of California. MHCC currently supplies state mandated patients rights advocacy services in Contra Costa and Napa counties in addition to systems advocacy on the local and state levels. MHCC was a catalyst in the establishment of self-aid groups in Contra Costa, Napa and Solano counties.
