MERGE opened its doors in the spring of 2006, with its 1st store at The Shops at Legacy, in Dallas, Texas. The firm is the inspiration of Alana Israelson, former director of the Laundry by Shelli Segal boutique in New York's SoHo, the Men's Department of L. A.s Fred Segal and most recently the American Apparel stores across the whole New York region. MERGE distinguishes itself as a concept-boutique that does what its name implies: marries classic pieces already owned and loved, with unique and fashion-forward wardrobe choices to assemble looks that create maximum impact.
