Mesquite Fuel and Agriculture's biomass power generation plants supply the technologies to utilize this renewable energy and convert it to electricity. Plants absorb carbon dioxide to photosynthesize organic compounds using solar energy. This energy can either be released by natural decay or it can be released through combustion. Although carbon dioxide is released when the wood is heated or burnt, it is equivalent to the carbon dioxide amount taken up by the plant during growth, therefore there is no contribution towards greenhouse gas emissions.
