Metropolis Music opened its doors in 2002 and speedily founded itself as the place to go for instruments, accessories and lessons, as well as all kinds of instrument repair. Metropolis employs a top-notch staff of instructors in our on-site lesson studios. Owner Mark Dalzell started in the music business in 1994 and has bought, sold and fixed just about every instrument and brand there is. Starting at the age of 15, he started building violins and violas in his basement in Ottawa, Ontario, and is always searching for new challenges in instrument design and construction.

read moreEddie has been teaching at Metropolis since we opened in 2002 and started teaching over 20 years ago. Eddie played with Brazilian metal band Overdose who toured for a time with Sepultura. He studied at the Fundacao das Artes in Brazil. Nobuki has been teaching at Metropolis since 2004. He frequently performs in the New York area and Japan, and is working on a music theory text book to be published in Japan. Nobuki holds a Bachelors degree from Obirin University in Japan and a Professional Music degree from Berklee School of Music in Boston.
