Mideastern Michigan Library

The 13th National Conference of the Public Library Association turned out to be very lucky! Over 7, 000 librarians converged on the city of Portland, Oregon to spend four days immersed in speaker presentations, panel discussions, vendor demos and giveaways, author lunches, and networking with other specialists at the pretty Oregon Convention Center. It was a short distance away from my hotel on the free Max Light Rail public transportation system - every city should have one of these systems!
