Midwest Food Connection
Elementary School in Minneapolis, MN
Midwest Food Connection (MFC) had its beginnings in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and Saint Paul, MN) when two natural food co-ops began a community outreach initiative in 1993. Four years later a group of committed educators established our non-profit to bring natural foods education to a broad array of area schools. The programming has grown and flourished ever since. Our team has always searched out the newest methods to educate young kids about quality food and agriculture that sustains our land.

read moreThe need for children and youth to deepen their relationship to food remains, arguably even more so, in these times of pandemic and students staying home. We are adapting our programming to continue our mission while still keeping families safe. Midwest Food Connection is releasing a series of online videos made by staff to keep learning engaging and exciting as schools get situated into a digital format. This, together with live streaming lessons with schools, makes for a continued robust educational presence.
