Mobtown Studios

Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD
Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD Mobtown Studios is an artist-friendly recording, mixing and mastering studio owned and run by Matthew and Emily Leffler-Schulman. We moved the studio from Washington, DC to downtown Baltimore in 2006 with the intention of delivering a warm living room environment in which local artists and bands could record affordably and comfortably. In 2008, construction was finally complete and we opened our doors to the Baltimore music and recording community.

Mobtown Studios
read moreWe work through an uncommon mix of flexibility, innovation, experience and kindness to make music with you. We're not bound by location, which means we can work with you online or in the space that best suits your project. We approach every record as an exploration guided by the tools of art and science. So grab your instrument and join us in the laboratory. Mat is one of the most intelligent and intuitive producer musicians I know. He was fundamental in presenting Soul Coughing remixes and bootlegs.

Mixing
read moreWe mix music. Whether you've recorded with us, at another studio, or at home, we listen with fresh ears to your tracks then we talk with you about your creative goals and how we can make the songs punch. We provide as much or as little creative input on the sound, instrumentation or arrangement as you like. It's an opportunity for artistry as well as technical precision. It's building songs out of raw sound. We listen to what the song is asking for and then we bring the pieces into balance so that the song punches as one cohesive work of art.
