About Us
read moreOn Thursday, March 12, 2020, MCHD learned of the stay-at-home order and within 18 hours had a plan for implementing remote learning in a meaningful and effective way. Our dedicated and highly trained teachers were ready to try this new way of teaching on Monday, March 15, with the support of our Leadership team and our Curriculum Coordinators. While online learning is rarely ideal for students, our teaching teams and amazing families partnered to give our students, aged 12 months to 15 years old, the best possible learning experience during this unusual time.
Montessori Middle School Denver
read moreThe mission of our Denver Montessori middle school is to educate and train our students with universal, life-long skills-from organization to self-motivation-for a successful life. By the time students graduate, they are confident in themselves and their abilities. We empower our students to bring more of themselves to their classmates, their family and community, and the world. In a way, early adolescence is like toddlerhood all over again, with teens growing awkward in their bodies, testing how social interactions work, and sensitive to everything around them.
Leading Denver Montessori Preschool
read moreIn our Montessori preschool and kindergarten program, students are given the freedom to learn how to successfully accomplish tasks on their own. Not only does this develop their independence and individual style of learning, it fosters an internal motivation to learn, explore, and grow as a person, which they will carry with them the rest of their lives. The transition from toddlerhood to preschool is marked by the awakening of the unconscious mind. They seek out social connections in a new way, now interested in developing friendships and working together with others.
