The school, established in 1982, has two locations in Mesa, Arizona. The teaching team is led by Therese Kestner, B. A. M. Ed, AMI, certified for K - 8, and specializing in learning disabilities. She has taught and directed Montessori schools for the past 39 years.

We're located in Mesa, Arizona, convenient to Tempe, Gilbert, Chandler and much of the East Valley and metropolitan Phoenix area. Since 1982, our classroom has been a place where children are given the opportunity to explore their full academic and personal potential. Our goal in these environments is to develop a love for learning. Montessori International School was founded in 1982 in Gilbert, originally opening as a primary school out on McQueen Road and Baseline.
