At Bunkey's Car Wash we recycle all of the water we use in the car wash. The water is collected and goes through a filtering process and used again. Only the final rinse uses fresh water and the amount is minimized by the use of special pressure nozzles and a computer that only turns the rinse on when a car is in position. Studies show that a 5/8 hose running at 50 p.s.i. Uses 14 gallons of water per minute. As many as 140 gallons of water could be used in a ten-minute home car wash, most of it wasted.
