The Music Workshop has been delivering a unique music experience for its students since 1993. Owner Jim Jones is a 1988 honors graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. He and his team of skilled music teachers are dedicated to delivering a nurturing, effective environment to foster and support your musical growth. Curriculum is built on the disciplines of music theory, ear training and performance.

read moreWe teach many genres of music at The Music Workshop: classical, country, jazz, pop, rock and theater. Tell us what instrument and style interests you, and we'll select the right teacher to take you where you want to go, musically. The Music Workshop emphasizes private instruction because music is very personal and people learn differently. Our experienced teachers evaluate each student's strengths and challenges to develop a lesson plan tailored for the individual student.
Studio
read moreOur recording studio is a fully functional, 24 input, 24-bit facility. It is designed to "plug in and play". This means all inputs to the mixing board are wired into the computer, which has a template with plug-in effects such as reverbs, compressor/limiters, and EQ's already set for mix-down. It means when you come to our studio to record, you plug your instrument in, the engineer hits the record button, you start singing and playing, and when you listen back, it sounds great. Less time spent on set up, more time spent on creating music!
