David and Rosalind Katz, owners of My Friend's Place, opened the 1st location in Sandy Springs, Georgia in 1980. Recognizing the area's need for a restaurant that would supply fast, healthy meals, they started with a simple menu of homemade Egg, Chicken and Tuna Salads. The name was chosen in appreciation of their friends' ongoing support and generosity during the establishment of the concept, and to reflect the comfortable and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
