My Gym Children's Fitness Center

My Gym was created in 1983 by William Caplin and Yacov & Susi Sherman, who opened their 1st two My Gyms in Santa Monica and Van Nuys, California. Utilizing their knowledge in the fields of sports, dance, early childhood development, kinesiology and gymnastics, they developed a program and facility where kids actively participate in a range of structured, weekly physical education classes to earn social skills and self-esteem. In 1989, Cory Bertisch and Monique Vranesh, then recent graduates of the University of California at Santa Barbara, purchased My Gym in Van Nuys and experienced immediate success.
