The mission of The National Society of High School Scholars Foundation is to support education in the form of scholarships targeted to underrepresented minorities who express interest in STEM career majors-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Foundation was founded by Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that founded the Nobel Prizes, to fulfill this mission. The Foundation recognizes the need to produce more graduates with experience and skills in the STEM disciplines in order to understand the competitive challenges of the technology-driven global economy of the 21st.
