A Royce Gracie Network in LongBeach, CA. Set up in 2004. Royce Gracie is the son of founder of Brazilian/Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Helio Gracie. BJJ, or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, changed the world of fighting when Royce defeated multiple pponents, much heavier, with no time-limit, all in the same night in UFC 1, 2, and 3. It showed the fighting world the importance of this discipline against other disciplines, which used strength rather than technique. Not only did Helio want to present this art to the fighting world, but he wanted to emphasize the importance of it in the real world of self defense.

read moreWe offer smaller classes for a better learning environment esp age group 4-6yrs old. Many of our students adapt well at their first year in High school sports, esp in wrestling due to the exposure to grappling at a younger age. Some even getting scholarships for college. Our Wrestling Coach, Marco has 1 son who is in HS wrestling and a daughter who also trains. His entire family also trains in Jiu-Jitsu. Children are all different, please do not compare one child to another, we all learn differently.
