The New School of Music is a non-profit community music school providing private lessons and group classes to kids and adults of all ages. Our doors are open to all from the absolute beginner to the experienced musician, from infants and toddlers to senior citizens. Established over three decades ago, by composer, conductor and pianist Nicholas Van Slyck, The New School of Music serves music learners starting with kids as young as infants up through senior citizens with instruction and access in a range of forms, including classical, jazz, pop and world music.

In addition, our faculty provides music instruction in a variety of musical forms, including classical, jazz, pop, and world music. Pampa is a musician and educator with a background in ethnomusicology, early childhood education and arts administration. She has worked with students of all ages in schools and cultural institutions in Boston, Washington, DC and New York.
