The Newfield Swim & Tennis Club was set up in 1962 as a private, non-profit club. For 48 years, Newfield's focus has always been the same: to supply a fun, family-oriented summer experience for our members. Newfield is located on over 7 acres in a domestic neighborhood just a several miles N of downtown Stamford. The Club is governed by Club By-Laws and a member-elected Board of Directors, serving staggered 3-year terms. A complete-time team is employed for the daily operations of the club. We rely on member volunteers to make all of our programs and events run successfully.

Situated on over 7 acres, our facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool, 5 har-tru tennis courts, playground, basketball courts, screened picnic area and more. Children will make new friends, stay busy and have fun at Newfield. Our youth programs include swim team, dive team, water polo, synchronized swimming, and tennis. Our aquatics program competes in Division 1 of the Fairfield County Swim League.
Water Polo
read moreThe water polo program is open to everyone - even if you are not on the swim team. Water polo is played at three levels. The Midget team is for children who are 10 years of age and younger. This group will focus on an introduction to the game and basic skill development. The Junior team is for children from 11 to 13 years of age. The Senior team is for those who are 14 to 17 years of age. The Junior and Senior groups practice together in order to focus on game strategies, advanced drills and scrimmages.

read moreLessons are obtained on a first-come, first-served basis with the member and a staff professional, at a time that is convenient for both. If you wish to set-up a lesson over the phone, please call (203) 595-0869. To avoid any inconvenience, please notify the pro shop and/or pro of any cancellation within a 24 hour time period. No Player(Member or Guest) will be permitted on the courts unless PROPER TENNIS ATTIRE is worn. All children ages 3-17 must wear Tennis Whites at all times during Junior Tennis (colored trim or less than 10% color will be permitted).
