Jimmy Cosenza Sr. Founded the Seal-Tite Roofing Company in 1946. He later moved the business to San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley in 1952 into the very same building where Nicholas Roofing is situated today. Jimmy Cosenza Jr. Started roofing part time for his father's Seal-Tite Roofing Company at age 17. He then graduated from high school and joined the US army for 3 years. He returned to roofing while at the same time attending San Francisco State University. In 1976 Jimmy married Susan Love, a graduate of UC Berkeley. They began a family and Jimmy began a complete time roofing career.
