Palmetto Moon 1st started in the fall of 2002. Karen and Bob Webster found they were empty nesters after their youngest daughter left home for new adventures at Clemson. This departure left them with an opportunity to begin a new beginning for the next stage of their life. They both had backgrounds in retail, as well as a passion for it, so they decided to open a business together. They recognized a void in the Charleston market for South Carolina collegiate gear, and a demand for anything and everything with the South Carolina state flag.
