James and Anna Sanchez have been the proud owners of Papagayo since 1998. The wife and husband staff pride themselves on serving the freshest and tastiest Mexican food in San Mateo. Their little hideaway is conveniently situated just off of hwy 92 & 280, within the Crystal Springs Shopping Center. Jim enjoys a hands-on approach to the requirements of a family owned business. He makes all purchases for the restaurant to ensure quality and range. Papagayo is known for its NO LARD policy, quality meats, and organic greens in creating each savory dish.
