Lester C. Peabody graduated from Boston University in 1931. He learned the office furniture business from his father, Lorenzo, who had established the firm in 1899 as a typewriter and sales shop on Devonshire Street in Boston. Soon he moved into the growing office furniture business, focusing on always putting the client 1st. Lester carried on his father's business philosophy and lead the company through the Great Depression, World War II and into the modern era.
