The reason I became a lawyer is simple: I want to assist people secure their rights, seek liberty and bring hope to their families. My father's family found hope and a new life in Sonoma County. He became a teacher at Petaluma High School after going to college on the GI Bill after World War II. I was raised in Sonoma County and attended Petaluma High School before moving on to Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University and Empire School of Law. My interest in the law began when I interviewed attorney David Luce for a school assignment at the age of 11. 25 years later he taught me in law school.
