Plan Ahead. Was established in 1992 by Paul Schnitman at the request of customers of another firm Paul owned (Schnitman Group) Schnitman Group is a pension administration firm that began in 1984 and was sold to Nathan Schnitman in 2006. Paul's customers requested he manage their money on a fee only basis. Paul started his career in 1979 by entering the life insurance business with his father, Robert Schnitman. Paul gained his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations in 1982 and 1985, respectively.
