I began in the jewelry business in 1972 with my father and my mother. Our 1st store was a tent on the side of loon mountain up in New Hampshire. We did that every summer and during the winter our 1st real business location was the old Mad River Canoe Company. We were there for a several years and then we moved a little bit nicer location just down the road. Then I joined the Army and flew helicopters for 1st cavalry division for a several years. When I got out, my parents had moved to Texas so I went to join them and their jewelry store in Plano Texas. I worked for them until they retired in 1986.
