Rainbow Child Development Center was established in 1972 in Plumley Village, a housing development in Worcester for low-income families. In 2004, the Center purchased the building that had once housed the Edward Street Day Care Center. After completing the 1st stage of renovations, Rainbow moved to its new home in March 2005. Rainbow Child Development Center is a licensed, non-profit childcare agency that supplies educational, childcare, and family services in Central Massachusetts. Rainbow is licensed to care for over 290 kids between six weeks and thirteen years of age.
