The church's pastor at the time, Dave Gadoury, caught me as I walked by and introduced me to a new attendee, Dale Read. Dale owned an advertising agency in Providence, and since Dave knew I was also a budding creative he wanted us to know each other. The friendship and business collaboration grew between Dale and me, and I began to supply him with ad copy and creative that he sold, as a professional account executive with Boston agency roots, to his clients.

We did myriad types of advertising and marketing related creative, as well as publish two trade magazines for the home furnishings industry, FUTON LIFE and BEDROOM. Our list of clients included small family owned businesses like ACTION AUTOMATION (now I-AUTOMATION) in North Attleboro, MA, and TONY'S COLONIAL FOODS in Providence, RI, as well as large consumer product manufacturers like A.T. CROSS, software companies like PTC and CHALEX, and international conglomerates like SIEMENS, AG, and everything in between.

The plan included serving local companies with advertising and marketing services, as well as the creation of a publishing arm to create, design and produce Futon Life magazine.
