Acupuncture is a non-invasive, holistic healing treatment that has been used by billions of people over at least 3, 000 years. Fine, sterile needles are placed at specific acupuncture points on the body in order to enhance the body's capability to heal itself, increase immunity, improve physical and emotional health, reduce pain, and advance all over well-being. Acupuncture is built on the service that living beings have a vital energy, called qi, that circulates through twelve energy lines known as meridians on the body. Each meridian is combined with a different organ system.
