She acquired her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine (TUSVM) in 2008. Prior to attending TUSVM, she received her Associate's Degree in Applied Science/Veterinary Technology from Snead State community College and became a licensed veterinary technician in the state of Alabama in 2002 TUSVM hired her as a licensed veterinary technician the year of her graduation where she quickly became a big fan of the students, staff, and faculty at the school.
