read moreWhile the other elementary students were playing tag, Laura was stuffing envelopes and attending campaign events. That's what you did as the daughter of the Grande Dame of Dallas politics. Having grown up in politics she became driven to make her mark on the world at an early age. After graduating from J.J. Pearce High School in Dallas, Laura was driven by sports. She earned a full scholarship to attend Radford University as a Division 1, NCAA soccer net-minder. She earned her degree in Finance and went on to play in the Nike League (the first semi-pro soccer league for women) until her athletic career was cut short by the onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
