When Russell Reeves was 16 years old, he decided to leave behind the life of a farmer in Doyline and move to Shreveport to begin a service station that sold gas, fishing baits, lawnmowers and just about anything to make ends meet. Now, 75 years later, that service station has evolved into what the Shreveport-Bossier area knows as Reeves Marine. Russell's passion for boating was passed to his two sons, Rodney and Rusty, who worked side by side with their Dad for forty years, Dad was our mentor, Rodney said.
