Renaissart Uncommon Graphic
read moreWe provide creative and production services for all forms of visual media - both to clients directly, as well as through agencies and publishers. At Renaissart Design, we strive to exceed our client's expectations on every project. We struggle to find solutions that combine our client's needs with our artistic sensibilities, then weigh the options against budget and deadline concerns and choose the correct course to bring the project in on time and on budget. We bring more than 30 years of design experience to the table and have worked on both local and national accounts.
About Us
read moreWe are comfortable working either way. However, we find ourselves down the second path far more often. For better or worse, this business is deadline driven, and there often isn't the time or budget to make everything the best it can be. But we will make the best out of everything we can. Renaissart Graphic Design is the brain child of owner John Chitwood. The unique name and company brand was launched in 2000 when John moved his graphic design business into a studio on upper King Street. Sharing the space with an architect and photographer actually inspired the company name.
Gosnell & Company
read moreGosnell & Company are perhaps the area's finest event coordinators - having produced and/or managed logistics for The Flowertown Festival, The Charleston Flower Show, Winterfest, The Building Arts Festival, Fashion Week, Piccolo Spoletto's public events, The downtown Farmer's Market, Darkness to Light's Annual Charity Ball, and more. Owner, Rebecca Gosnell has been a great friend and good client for many years, and together we have produced a wide variety of festival event materials, including posters, brochures, invitations, maps, banners and ads.
Key West Boats
read moreKey West Boats is a good example of a occasional client of substance. I only hear from them once a year or so, but when they do call, we have a lot to do. Since originally creating their catalog in 2005, we have updated it 3-4 times - adding and subtracting boats and features as their product line has changed. With such a long-standing relationship, it is hard to believe that we almost didn't get the job originally. Photographer Gary Coleman and I were called back after our initial presentation and asked if we fully understood the scope of the project, and why our bid was so much less than the other two firms interviewed.
Southcoast Bank
read moreSouthcoast Bank was initially introduced to me as a client through Jack Kennedy at Pro Media Advertising. I began my career working for Jack, and his then partner Jan Jacobson. Jack creates the TV and radio commercials for Southcoast and still calls me in occasionally when his initiates expand into the print realm. But they more often work with me directly when developing their brand and product materials. Their materials are always very conservative and with a local flair. Most recently, we worked with Jack again on a series of billboards and directly with Lisa Grimmer, Southcoast's Marketing Director, on their new Business Debt/Credit cards.
BDI Marketing
read moreBDi Marketing is a relatively new client - technically speaking. This full-service marketing and advertising firm was founded in 2012 by partners Roger Gaither and Chris Johnson. They have actually been a client, how-ever, since before their inception. My relationship with Roger Gaither reaches back many years. I have worked with him when he owned Advertising Professionals, then Veeck Advertising Professionals, and now BDi. Over the years we have worked together with a number of sports teams, including the Carolina Stingrays, the Charles-ton Riverdogs, the Boston Rox, the Hudson Valley Renegades, St Paul Saints and others.
HHK Marketing
read moreHHK Marketing has been a client of ours or over 10 years. HHK is the only Carolina-based firm specializing solely in healthcare marketing. Our close working relationship with owner, Hunter Kerrison, has afforded me a great opportunity to learn the nuances of this industry and develop some outstanding campaigns for a variety of medical services - including radiology, oral surgery, sports medicine, general and specialized surgery, cancer treatment, eye care, assisted living, nephrology, obstetrics and fertility specialists.
Portfolio
read moreSome projects transcend simple online photos, and require the back story. Likewise certain clients that we have worked with for years present a body of work that speaks more as a whole rather than any one example. Here you can learn a bit about the clients and the projects as we provide a more in depth look. One of our specialties is providing promotional materials for Special Events. We've had extensive experience producing posters, ads, banners, announcements, invitations, programs, etc. for Festivals, Charity Events, Concerts, Theatres, Musical Shows and more.
