Paula Davis has always loved making things; weaving, macram, clay and paper collage. While working on her BFA at Stephen F. Austin University, she took a jewelry class and was hooked. It appealed to her practical side - jewelry is useful and pretty. After college she worked for several custom jewelers in Ft. Worth and Dallas, Texas and learned the real art and craft of fine jewelry. In 1985 she moved to Lubbock, Texas with her husband and young son and started freelance work for local jewelers and developed a following of individual customers.
