Roy and Ana worked in the western suburbs of Chicago and the Aurora area since 1960. Initially, Roy served in the US Air Force for twelve years. After his service, he worked as an Air Traffic Controller, and later trained people in the area of ATC. Ana came to the US from Panama on a diplomatic visa, where she was a chancellor at the Panamanian Consulate and attended Tulane University's School of Business in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1971, Ana gained her real estate license and in 1972, Roy followed suit. Ana obtained her CRS and Roy his GRI and CRB.
