Ruth's began from a genuine desire to aid people. Initially, those people came to Ruth's Foundations for custom bras and undergarments. As the clients expressed their health challenges to Ruth, she found another niche she could fill. She thus began with a few products until gradually, the nutritional supplements became the primary interest. Ms. Ruth sold the nutrition portion to one of her regular clients, Earline Smalley in April of 1994. Earline's daughter, Cynthia Freese, now manages the store.
