We accept full-length scripts from literary agents as well as from theatre professionals with whom we have an existing relationship. We strongly encourage familiarizing yourself with the kind of work we do by reading our mission and production history before submitting. As part of SLAC's commitment to local artists, we will accept submissions from Utah-based playwrights, which must include a resume, a play synopsis, and a statement explaining why your play might be a good fit for Salt Lake Acting Company.

read moreGreen Room Gallery: SLAC maintains an active gallery to showcase and sell the work of local visual artists in rotating exhibitions inspired by productions on our stage. The Green Room Gallery is a space for conversation, enjoyment, and reflection, but most importantly, it is another way for SLAC to support Utah artists. Post-Play Discussions: Following the first Sunday matinee of each play, SLAC invites the audience to stay for a free discussion with the artistic team. Thoughtful conversation among our audience and artists brings a deeper understanding of and connection to the issues and themes particular to each play.

read moreSalt Lake Acting Company is a professional nonprofit 501(c)(3) regional theatre with an Actors Equity union contract. Operating on a $2 million annual budget, SLAC serves an annual audience of 40,000, with 3,464 subscribers. Our work extends well beyond our stages and into our community with SLAC's arts education programs. These programs provide free matinee performances of our annual children's show to area Title I elementary schools, in-school readings and assemblies, as well as, giving university-enrolled students professional opportunities and teaching the art of theatre to elementary students with an experienced, professional actor.

read moreOur professional children's production is a holiday tradition including ten free performances for over 2,000 Title I schoolchildren, and discounted performances for non-Title I schools. Through the Title I Arts Education Program, SLAC works with teachers who help create a free online study guide. The guide is available for schools.
