Photographer in Boston, MA Shooting food fascinates me because even though it's a still life subject, it's definitely a living thing. Every time a plate comes out of the kitchen it's different, with its own personality. You've got to be sensitive to that. I've learned from experience just how important it's to know when to shoot the picture. You can fiddle with a plate for just so long, and then it becomes overworked. I want to keep it fresh, even if it means leaving several of the imperfections, because they're what make the food more real.

About Us
read moreIn many shoots I depend on the help of food stylists, assistants, and others to work as a team. I try to keep the food real, and not let it get over-worked. We also make sure clients have a great and stress-free experience in the process! It intrigues me to explore the simplest kinds of subject matter. If for example my still life of silverware sitting in soapy water can make others stop and look, I'm happy. Lately I've also been spending time on personal projects of a documentary nature. Black & white photography, hand held, on the street, the kind of picture-making that drew me into photography years ago.
