In 1908, Polk Houston Searcy left Luverne, AL in a horse and buggy with his wife, Lallie Revel Searcy and opened a hardware and funeral home in downtown Enterprise. As Enterprise grew, so did the Searcy family. Polk and Lallie reared five children in Enterprise. Of those five children, Revel and Lomax followed their father and chose a lifetime career in the funeral profession.
