Seattle hasn't always been the center of the coffee universe. In fact, we used to serve as much bad coffee as the rest of the country. This began to change in the early 70s, when our founder bought a secondhand peanut roaster and began roasting Arabica coffee at the Wet Whisker on Seattle's Pier 70. His individual tastes in coffee were simple - he wanted it to be bold and full-flavored, but smooth and mellow. So that is how he roasted and blended his coffee - bold and smooth.

Henry's Blend became the first of the excellent Seattle's Best Coffee roasts and flavors that followed. In the more than 45 years since, it's been a labor of love. We've perfected our signature roasting process while living up to our name and staying true to our roots in stores across the country. Our 100% Arabica beans are sourced exclusively from Latin America, where we work closely with farmers to ensure total consistency.
