Principals of the company are Jim H. Seay, Jr. AIA, Frank E. Litchfield, III, AIA, Gregory A. O'Neal, AIA, and R. Platt Boyd, IV, AIA. SS&L's focus on quality by design has been recognized with numerous design awards, such as Architectural Firm of the Year (1999) by the American Subcontractors Association of Alabama.
