Selma's

The owners of Selma's, Nick and Selma Khoury immigrated to Gresham Oregon from the tiny village in Syria called Amar in 1974. Nick worked as a Winder operator for Crown Zellerbach in Oregon City, While Selma worked for JJ Newberry, to aid share in the income. In 1978 the 1st of three sons was born, Selma left Newberry's to take attention of their new born son and to accommodate my fathers side of the family that immigrated over and was living with them at the time.
