Serenity Garden Design was began in 2005 by Christy Scerra and Hannah Taylor. We met while attending classes for the Washington State University Master Gardener program. After working in different nurseries, our paths crossed once again working at Portland Avenue Nursery in Tacoma. We could see the growing need for garden designers and installers in our area, so we began our own firm. In the spring of 2006, Serenity Garden Design became the 1st landscape firm to be awarded 5 stars for the Pierce County EnviroStars program in recognition of our work to green our business.
