Seventh Heaven

As an only child growing up in a rural community, Bandera, Texas, the Cowboy Capitol of the World to be exact)I had a wealth of alone time on my hands. I filled it by pursuing individual interests drawing, reading, creating culinary concoctions that only I would eat! Who would have thought that drawing lessons, a thirst for information and 4-H Food and Nutrition classes and Bake Shows would later shape my life's work? Never would I have imagined that I'd be a cake designer. I envisioned myself somewhere in the corporate world moving and shaking. I graduated from St. Mary's University (BBA-Finance/Risk Management) in 1991 and promptly realized that I could never be tied to a desk! I cannot balance my checkbook to this day! My artistic side would not be squelched!
